Substation P&C Designer
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Substation P&C Designer in Knoxville, TN. This is a full time, direct hire, onsite position with our client.

Overview of YOUR role as a Substation P&C Designer:

RCS seeks a Substation P&C Designer to be responsible for the design and/or checking of deliverables associated with a high voltage substation. This person will be responsible for the design of deliverables associated with a high voltage substation. This typically includes, but is not limited to: One Line Diagrams, Control House layouts, Relay Panel Panel Front Views, Elementary and/or Schematic Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Bills of Materials, and Cable Schedules.

As a Substation P&C Designer YOU will:
- Complete assignments within budget and schedule with a high degree of accuracy
- Works under the direction of a P&C Group Lead
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) based protection and control standards
- Performs technical preparation of deliverables and other project documents
- Ensures deliverables comply with IEEE and/or client standards and meet applicable design requirements
YOU are the ideal candidate if you have:
- Expertise utilizing AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE)
- Associate’s degree in Design or Drafting
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication
- Two (2) years of applicable experience minimum
It’s a BONUS if you have:
- Experience developing P&C Design for Power Substations
- Keen interest in learning and using the latest Autodesk software tools, methods, and technologies to develop Power Substation design

Electrical Designer
RCS has an immediate need for an Electrical Designer in Suprise, AZ. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire, Onsite opportunity!

As an Electrical Designer YOU will:

Perform complex detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. The designs will support residential (single-family and master planned) and small/mid-size commercial developments. This work may include but is not limited to; the preparation drawings, specifications, estimates, and site visits.

YOU are the ideal Electrical Designer candidate if you have:
- Bachelors of Science, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Technical College or related field and two (2) years of experience.
- 2+ years of electrical distribution design experience with a utility or consulting engineering firm
- Must possess capabilities in one or more of the following: Electrical Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Substation Design, GIS and Mapping, and or CADD (AutoCad)
- Perform design tasks assigned by Designers or Engineers
- Perform broad range of engineering calculations such as pull calculations and tension charts.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Ability to handle complex problem-solving skills
- Review engineering designs for constructability
- Conduct field visits as needed
- Experience managing several projects concurrently, adjusting to shifting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
