RCS Staffing has an immediate need for (90) temporary People Counters in Boston, MA. This is a temporary, short-term project role with our client.
Job Overview:
We are seeking 90 temporary workers to assist with a people-counting project. This project is essential for improving our service delivery and understanding passenger flow. Successful candidates will use their smartphones to track and record the number of people using our transportation services during peak hours.
Responsibilities:
- Manual Data Collection: Collect ridership counts (ons and offs) for each train during three survey periods at all Green Line stations. Each survey period will include three hours of data collection, plus time before and after for mobilization and data upload.
- Training: Participate in a 1-hour training session the week before the data collection that will cover the scope of the effort, safety and security, schedule for data collection, approach to data collection, communications protocols, and common questions.
- Health and Safety Planning: Adhere to the health and safety plan for field counts, including safety requirements, best practices for fieldwork, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) and protocols.
Requirements:
- Availability: Must be available for either October 22-24 or October 29-31 and must attend a 1-hour training session on October 17, 18, or 21. Must be able to stand for 3 hours.
- Smartphone: Must have a personal smartphone with internet access capable of accessing and using a cloud-based intake form.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately count and record data.
- Punctuality: Must be reliable and able to arrive at the designated locations on time.
- Training: All participants are required to attend a one-hour training session on one of the following dates: October 17, 18, or 21. Training will cover the use of the cloud-based intake form and the specific procedures for the counting project.
