RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Discipline Manager. This is a full time, direct hire, remote position with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a Discipline Manager
This position is responsible for managing key client projects, interacting with existing clients to organically grow the project base, and engaging new and potential clients to increase the client base.
As a Discipline Manager YOU will:
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, including conducting meetings for project kick-off, progress updates, and closeout.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Review projects for accuracy, technical precision, and adherence to company and client standards.
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Coordinate and create bid proposals and pricing.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors, client stakeholders, and jurisdictional authorities.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Engage the project team to assign responsibilities, scope, and schedules based on strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
• Track project performance, analyzing the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
• Review project documents, including contracts and invoices, and recommend changes/approvals.
• Meet budgetary objectives and adjust constraints based on financial analysis.
• Develop and share comprehensive project plans with clients and team members.
• Create project proposals for new and existing clients.
• Use and continually develop leadership skills.
• Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
• Drive innovation, quality, and efficiency within the company.
• Identify opportunities for team training and create training modules as needed.
• Leverage relationships to recruit top talent, engage new clients, and explore innovative solutions.
• Perform other duties as needed.
YOU are the ideal Discipline Manager candidate if you have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or a related field (equivalent job experience will also be considered).
• Strong technical knowledge of Natural Gas and/or Electric Design and related Codes.
• A strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and self-driven mindset, with a desire to work in a production environment.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
It’s a BONUS if you have:
• A Professional Engineer license (or ability to obtain).
• A consulting background or knowledge of consulting practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) software.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to innovate and be creative.
