RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an EHS&S Manager in Phoenix, IL or Lufkin, TX. This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire, Onsite assignment with our client. 

Overview of YOUR role as an EHS&S Manager:

You will Provide health, safety and environmental (EHS) direction, leadership, and training to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance at the Phoenix, Illinois, Lufkin, Texas, and Remote Yard locations. This position works with the operations team to administer the compliance programs, procedures, and policies and acts as a liaison with regulatory agencies when necessary. 

As an EHS&S Manager YOU will:

  • Oversees the health, safety, and environmental programs, including developing, writing, implementing, auditing, and maintaining policies and procedures in compliance with company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in workplace safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemical, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
  • Ensures that sites remain up-to-date and in compliance with OSHA regulations including recordkeeping.
  • Leads weekly safety meetings, and coordinates all EHS training, communications, and program management activities.
  • Inspects facilities for potential EHS risks, determines corrective or preventive measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Leads the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigation of incidents, injuries, and near misses and drives action items to closure.
  • Facilitates environmental programs with the assistance of the operations team.
  • Facilitates the reporting and follow-up of workplace incidents and accidents with the appropriate agencies.
  • Responsible for managing the site Workers Compensation claims.
  • Performs routine job skills analysis and task assessments.
  • Demonstrates management’s commitment to safety.


YOU are the ideal EHS&S Manager candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field; or five (5) years equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five (5) years of related experience is required, within a similar environment and position.
  • OSHA 10 and 30 certifications preferred.
  • CPR & First Aid certification preferred.
  • Preferred prior use of learning management system (LMS)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to deliver high quantity work that is consistently accurate and timely.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication/listening skills.
