RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Natural Gas Transmission Engineer. This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire, Remote assignment with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a Natural Gas Transmission Engineer:
You will be responsible for developing and reviewing engineered pipeline construction drawings. Engineers shall work closely with drafters, designers, and management to execute on project design work including designing natural gas pipeline and pipeline facilities, working with drafters and designers to create construction drawings, reviewing drawings, completing calculations, creating Bill of Material (BOM), and interacting with the project team and client. Engineers will be required to understand processes and technical
design requirements to ensure drawings meet company and client specifications and standards.
As a Natural Gas Transmission Engineer YOU will:
- Applying sound engineering knowledge of natural gas utility engineering principles and practices with training and guidance from other engineers and managers,
- Performing a variety of engineering calculations and tasks to assist in the production of plans, specifications, permits and other engineering documents,
- Performing quality assurance audits to ensure all designs follow prescribed processes and are completed according to specifications and quality requirements.
- Communicating clearly with Drafters and Designers regarding design markups and standards
- Communicate clearly with Project Manager regarding questions, allowable hours, allowable time, and any anticipated delays in project schedule.
YOU are the ideal Natural Gas Transmission Engineer candidate if you have:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering field
- Must have graduated from an ABET accredited school.
- Must be eligible to sit for the FE and PE exams.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in natural gas pipeline and pipeline facilities design
- Ability to read, interpret and apply regulatory and industry codes and standards.
- Strong technical ability, including performing engineering calculations for pipe and equipment specifications.
- Strong work ethic, strong attention to details, self-driven and a desire to work in a production environment is very important.
- Ability and desire to work and communicate remotely with peers and leadership.
- Ability to maintain consistent work hours and have a strong sense of accountability to produce quality work in a timely manner.
- Impeccable communication skills, organized, and high sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and with a team and must have an entrepreneurial spirit.
