RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a P&C Substation Engineer in Chattanooga, TN. This is a full time, direct hire, hybrid position with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a P&C Substation Engineer:
RCS is seeking a Protection & Controls (P&C) Substation Engineer who will be responsible for the design and checking of deliverables associated with substation P&C design projects. Assigned tasks will include the checks, creation and revision of panel front views, AC & DC elementaries, wiring diagrams, and yard equipment diagrams using MicroStation and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle several projects with competing timelines and deliver high quality design products on time. A primary responsibility will be detailed checking of projects designed by less experienced associates.
As a P&C Substation Engineer YOU will:
- Utilize MicroStation and AutoCAD to create assigned deliverables
- Meet client’s schedule and budget requirements
- Perform P&C design with high degree of accuracy
- Perform project scoping activities
- Estimate project design efforts
- Check and review other personnel work for accuracy and adherence to client and/or national standards
- Willingness to travel (1-2 days at a time, approximately once every two-three months) and work occasional overtime as needed
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
YOU are the ideal P&C Substation Engineer candidate if you have:
- BS in Engineering
- 5-20 years experience
- Substation P&C engineering/design experience or other closely related electrical design experience
It is a BONUS if you have:
- P.E.
