RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Principal Electrical Engineer in IL/MN/AZ/TX/CO/IA. This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire, Hybrid opportunity.

Overview of YOUR role as a Principal Electrical Engineer:

You will be responsible for leading and managing complex engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of combustion turbines. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer YOU will:

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering projects related to combustion turbines, including design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and controls.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and support in the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical systems for combustion turbines.
  • Develop and review electrical system designs, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct detailed performance analysis of combustion turbine electrical systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in combustion turbine systems, leveraging extensive knowledge and experience to provide effective solutions.
  • Ensure all electrical systems and projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design reports, technical specifications, and project plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and combustion turbine technology, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions into projects.

YOU are the ideal Principal Electrical Engineer if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience in combustion turbine systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical system design, control systems, and performance analysis specific to combustion turbines.
  • Experience with engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices related to combustion turbines and electrical engineering.
  • Experience working in power generation, energy, or utility industries
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering projects.
