RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Senior Transmission Line Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.
This is a full time, direct hire, hybrid position with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a Senior Transmission Line Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer who will work as a member of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems involved with electric transmission.
As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer, YOU will:
- Serve as an engineer on electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country.
- Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of electrical overhead and underground systems, voltage conversion projects, new capacity projects, and infrastructure replacement projects.
- Perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications, and prepare material procurement and construction documents.
- Collaborate with a multi-person team and interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
- Work on projects currently in the proposal stage, with the opportunity to shape and influence outcomes from the early stages.
YOU are the ideal Senior Transmission Line Engineer candidate if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
- Experience reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, plans and profiles, and construction packages.
- Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements, construction specifications, material procurement processes, project schedules, and construction work packages.
- The ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
- Leadership experience and the ability to supervise others.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Flexibility for potential client office assignments or periodic travel.
It’s a BONUS if you have:
- EIT, FE, or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Knowledge of GO95.
