RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Engineer in New York, Connecticut, Massachutetes. This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire, Remote assignment with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as a Sr. Electrical Engineer:
The Electrical and Controls Engineer for Natural Gas Facilities will lead the design and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with Hazardous Area Classification (HAC), grounding, and wiring standards. This role involves creating detailed electrical diagrams, P&ID designs, and overseeing adherence to engineering regulations while mentoring junior engineers.
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer YOU will:
- Electrical and Controls engineering for Natural Gas Facilities projects
- Initiating and maintaining extensive contracts to ensure consistent engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and technological advances
- Responsibilities include
- Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) compliance and design
- grounding system design,
- wiring design and implementation,
- electrical diagram and schematic designs
- P&ID design
- Leadership responsibilities to include technical development and mentorship
YOU are the ideal Sr. Electrical Engineer candidate if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within gas facilities or related industries
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Experience with communication protocols, instrumentation, and controls systems
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ETAP, SKM for Arc Flash studies
- Extensive SCADA knowledge
- Extensive working knowledge of NFPA 70 – National Electric Code (NEC)
- Knowledge of command and feedback signals
