RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an Assistant Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ. This is a Full Time, Contract, Onsite opportunity.
Overview of YOUR role as an Electrical Engineer:
You will assist in the planning, execution, and closing of various construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development within the organization.
As an Assistant Project Manager YOU will:
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure project requirements and specifications are clearly defined and communicated to all team members.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and resources necessary for project execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
manage project resources to optimize efficiency and productivity. - Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from project plans.
- Collaborate with project team members to develop and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Support the implementation of safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents or accidents and the implementation of preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and daily reports.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
- Assist in the preparation of project closeout documentation including as-built drawings, warranties, and final reports.
YOU are the ideal Assistant Project Manager if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in construction management or the electrical utility space.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., OSHA, NEC).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
